Atlanta event planners prepare for a busy holiday season

WM Events is a full-service event planning and production company founded by designer William Fogler back in 2004. Right now, the WM Events team is busy planning for Atlantic Station’s annual Light the Station celebration, which kicks off the popular mixed-use district’s holiday season on Nov. 22.

Sandy Springs ice skating rink opens

Mixed-use district City Springs is welcoming families for a few spins around Skate City Springs, the outdoor ice-skating experience taking over the City Green. Admission to the rink is $18 per hour for adults and $15 per hour for children ages 2 to 9, and includes skate rental. City Springs is also hosting the popular Sparkle Village again this year, consisting of small wooden houses which are decorated by local schools, nonprofits, and first responders.

Jennifer Lawrence discusses challenging drama 'Die My Love'

Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence stars in the new psychological drama "Die My Love," directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lynne Ramsay. The film features Lawrence as a woman mentally unraveling following the birth of her baby. "It really did look like poetry," says Lawrence of the film's script. "Where there’s a statement and then there’s space in between it."

Good Day Atlanta spent the morning at Bear's Best Atlanta in Suwanee, chatting with veterans and capturing the compassion and camaraderie (and the friendly trash-talk!) that make the tournament such a memorable event.

More than 100 veterans are spending the day at a North Georgia golf course, enjoying some friendly competition while raising money to honor other veterans throughout the state. FOX 5's Paul Milliken caught up with a few of them ahead of the event.

IrishFest Atlanta takes over Roswell this weekend

IrishFest Atlanta is taking over Roswell this weekend, highlighting Irish music, dance, food, and culture and celebrating the strong ties between Ireland and Metro Atlanta. The festival was launched in 2013 by Teresa Finley, president of Phoenix School of Irish Arts of Atlanta. The event launches with a Friday night concert by acclaimed trio Open the Door for Three with Kevin Doyle at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.
